India's Liquidnitro Games Raises $19.1 Million to Scale AI-Powered Game Services

As game publishers face mounting pressure to retain players in an oversaturated market, specialized service providers are stepping in with AI-driven solutions. India-based Liquidnitro Games closed a $19.1 million Series A round led by Northpoint Capital and Nexus Venture Partners to expand its AI-enabled production and live services platform.

The funding will accelerate partnerships through co-investments and support global expansion efforts. Liquidnitro's model combines proprietary AI technology with operational expertise and aligned capital, investing alongside publishers for shared financial responsibility.

"By combining over a decade of experience running some of the world's biggest franchises, deep investments in our proprietary AI-powered platform, and capital we can deploy alongside partners, we've built a uniquely compelling value proposition," said CEO Sandeep Kowdley.

Northpoint Capital's Sameer Brij Verma noted the company is becoming a preferred partner for leading publishers, citing their ability to merge AI-driven live ops with P&L ownership.

Gaming Giants Renew Cross-Platform Safety Commitment as Industry Faces Scrutiny

As regulatory pressure mounts over child safety in gaming, Nintendo, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and Microsoft are expanding their collaborative efforts to improve player protection across competing platforms.

The three console manufacturers, who first united on safety initiatives in 2020, announced renewed commitments centered on three shared principles: prevention, partnership, and responsibility. The approach combines parental controls, community reporting tools, and enforcement mechanisms backed by human oversight.

Prevention efforts focus on empowering players and parents with customizable controls and transparent codes of conduct. Partnership initiatives include collaboration with organizations like the Entertainment Software Association, ESRB ratings agency, and the Tech Coalition's Lantern program for child safety technology.

Under responsibility commitments, the companies enforce violations through escalating restrictions, comply with law enforcement requests, and deploy AI-enhanced moderation with human review.

"This partnership reflects our dedication to collaborating on solutions that enhance player safety," the companies stated, emphasizing that industry challenges require shared values and continued innovation in protective technologies.

Hytale's developers are offering over $25,000 in bug bounties to players who find and report security vulnerabilities in their early access game. The Bug Bounty Program rewards authentication and client/server exploits most heavily, with the team already paying out bounties and triaging incoming reports. This aggressive security approach comes just two months after reacquiring the game from Riot Games, barely enough time to rebuild the team and prepare for launch. Despite the bumpy rollout, Hytale immediately became Twitch's most-watched game with 2.8 million concurrent players.
