Pixel P&L: Down for the Count

Hey everyone,

I've come down with something unpleasant, so I'm taking a brief break to recover. No fresh content from me today, unfortunately.

But I wouldn't leave you hanging without something good to read. While I'm attempting to respawn in the real world, check out this brilliant piece by Edwin Evans-Thirlwell at Rock Paper Shotgun about why the entire gaming industry has apparently decided to go full rogue(like):

It's got everything: fake Oxford scholars, the economics of Game Pass, and a genuinely thoughtful exploration of why we're drowning in procedurally generated dungeons. Plus, it'll explain why your indie game pitch probably shouldn't start with "It's a roguelike, but..."

I'll be back soon, hopefully with full HP restored and no permanent debuffs.

Stay healthy,
Vignesh
